Massachusetts to Launch State-Wide Digital Library

They get it!
Panzer was cruising the Catosphere and found the state of Massachusetts is about to join the digital revolution. There are 1,700 libraries in the state library system. They want to implement their plan in June of this year.

Panzer says, "Soon you'll be able to check Cats and Crime out at the library in Massachusetts."

  1. Wisconsin has a digital library and it is awesome! But not, unfortunately, perfect. We get complaints about long waits for popular titles and in availability of some titles. (Some major publishers refuse to sell digital materials to public libraries.) the good news is that our digital library is getting better all the time! Congratulations Massachusetts!

  2. Hi Kara,

Here in Washington state our library system carries digital books too. Unfortunately, like you say, there can be a long wait for the more popular titles.

Panzer is just happy whenever libraries anywhere start carrying digital books. There are a lot of books only available in digital format and the library system is one way to get new readers for those books.
