According to the post by Smashwords' founder Mark Coker, Smashwords has added metered coupons to the Coupon Manager feature for authors (and publishers). The metered coupons allow an author (or publisher) to designate a specific number of coupons available to readers. Previously added to the Coupon Manager was the ability to place a descriptive label on each coupon. This allows for tracking the use of specific coupons during a campaign.
Panzer says, "These labelled coupons make tracking the success of a promotional sales campaign easy."
