B&N Press Now Offers eBook Coupon Codes - The Digital Reader

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he heard clapping and cheering. Following all the hullabaloo took our traveling kitty boy to The Digital Reader site. There with a little digging in the posts he found a one about Barnes and Noble Press.

According to The Digital Reader site owner Nate Hoffelder, Barnes and Noble Press has a new feature in beta. Barnes and Noble now offers publishers coupon codes to sell their ebooks at a discount. Barnes and Noble Press is also making changes to their POD book formatting.

It's catch up time.

Panzer says, "This is a feature Smashwords has offered for several years. Sometimes Mom gives the codes as prizes so winners can get an ebook for free."

Google Play Books is Currently Offering a $5 Credit - The Digital Reader

Only 2 Days Until Christmas

Today, Panzer was cleaning out the Panzermobile. Behind his pilot's seat he found something wadded up on the floor. Smoothing it out our inquisitive good kitty discovered it was a post from The Digital Reader site about Google Play Books.

According to The Digital Reader site owner Nate Hoffelder, Google Play Books is offering a $5 credit for use in the store. It's advertised in the banner at the top of the page. Unfortunately, the coupon is only good for U.S. customers. It's a short term coupon and expires January 19 (2018) so you need to hurry to use it. The post includes a link to the site and the coupon.

Panzer says, "Remember: Always read all the instructions and the small print!"

Smashwords' Summer Free and Discounted Ebooks Promotion

Every summer Smashwords has a ebooks promotion in July.  Ebooks in the promotion can be free, discounted 75 percent, 50 percent, or 25 percent. Authors can put any or all of their ebooks into the promotion. The prices are only good with the coupon code and at Smashwords.

I don't think you need an account to get free ebooks in the promotion, but, if they're discounted ebooks, you have to have an account to pay for them.

Smashwords Coupons Enhanced to Enable More Flexible Book Promotions - Smashwords Blog

Panzer stopped in at the Smashwords site today. With only a little digging, our traveling kitty discovered a post about new coupons generated by Smashwords' Coupon Manager.

Planning a Christmas sales campaign?

According to the post by Smashwords' founder Mark Coker, Smashwords has added metered coupons to the Coupon Manager feature for authors (and publishers). The metered coupons allow an author (or publisher) to designate a specific number of coupons available to readers. Previously added to the Coupon Manager was the ability to place a descriptive label on each coupon. This allows for tracking the use of specific coupons during a campaign.

Panzer says, "These labelled coupons make tracking the success of a promotional sales campaign easy."
