Today, Panzer found an interesting post over at the Publishing Perspectives site. It's a post about what ChatGPT isn't.
The post by Porter Anderson is an interview with Thomas Cox. In the interview he explains why ChatGPT can't separate truth from fiction in the answers it gives to your questions. Given this, there's no way to tell what's information and what's misinformation. He also explains why artificial 'intelligence' is a misnomer. ChatGPT is not a thinking being nor is it intelligent. Included in the post are several links to other information about AI.
At least they're good for something. |
Note: This is a long post. Bring a large cup of cocoa and a large muffin for today's reading selection. If you plan to follow the links in the post, you'll need to decide what to bring to eat and drink.
