Standing Up for Copyright - Publishers Weekly

Today Panzer made a stop at the Publishers Weekly site. There our illustrious kitty traveler found a post about the copyright infringement lawsuit against Internet Archive (IA). Panzer posted about the lawsuit a few days ago.

Panzer says, You need to read the post.
You need to read the post.
The post is an opinion piece by the Copyright Alliance's CEO Keith Kupferschmid.  In it he explains why in his opinion Internet Archive's (IA) court arguments about scanning whole books is not fair use under copyright law and why "loaning" those stolen digital scans does not make IA a library.

Panzer says, "This little kitty totally agrees with everything this human says."

Note: This is very long. Bring a glass of iced tea and a chocolate chip cookie for today's reading selection.

To read the post tootle over to copyright infringement
