Internet Archive Files Appeal in Copyright Infringement Case - Publishers Weekly

Panzer says, It's just a waste of money.
It's just a waste of money.
Today, Panzer made a stop at the Publishers Weekly site. There with a little digging in the posts, our intrepid kitty traveler found one about the Internet Archive (IA) lawsuit.

The post by Andrew Albanese states the Internet Archive (IA) filed an appeal of last month's court judgement against IA. In that case Judge John G. Koeltl determined IA did commit copyright infringement when they scanned and "loaned" copies of publishers' books without permission or payments to the publishers.

Panzer says, "It's no surprise. We all knew they were going to appeal."

Note: This is a short-medium length post. Bring a cup of tea for today's reading selection.
