Aaron Patterson's Blog: The Art of Branding and Rebranding: Guest post by ...

Panzer and I stopped in at Aaron Patterson's blog The Worst Book Ever.

He has Cory Clubb as a guest this time. Clubb is posting about branding yourself. This is an information dense post. Panzer's favorite part is about using the covers of your ebook series as part of your brand. Clubb advocates using similar covers for each of the books in your series. In this way your readers will recognize your books by sight. Panzer says, "That makes total sense."

To see what other trick's Cory Clubb has for you, tootle on over to  Aaron Patterson's Blog: The Art of Branding and Rebranding: Guest post by ...: The Art of Branding and Rebranding. Finding Your Brand. Books last a very long time, now maybe forever with the i...

Aaron Patterson's Blog: Building a career: Guest Post By Allan Leverone

Panzer and I were out in the Catosphere and we stopped in at The Worst Book Ever, Aaron Patterson's blog.

The blog post title, Building a career is a little misleading. It's not specifically about building your career but, instead, about the necessary steps every indie ebook writer needs to take to have a successful ebook. You know the drill: the best editing; the best cover art. It's a good reminder for all of us from guest poster Allan Leverone.

Panzer says check out  Aaron Patterson's Blog: Building a career: Guest Post By Allan Leverone: Building a career: Guest Post By Allan Leverone It’s been said that over eighty percent of the U.S. population believes they have a book i...

Panzer and I will see you later. We're off to check out some more interesting blogs in the Catosphere.

Aaron Patterson's Blog: Why Barnes and Noble Should Hire Me and Can Jim Hi...: Now now, don't get all hot, I am joking... well, not really...but sort of. I mean really? Aaron Patterson's Blog: The Real Me

We're back!

We have and unexpected friend from out of town staying with us this weekend, so Panzer and I didn't post yesterday. Time online will be short until Tuesday.

Aaron Patterson posted his list about how to be real. You can read the list at  Aaron Patterson's Blog: The Real Me:. Good stuff for writers (and everyone else, too) to remember. Print out his list and tape it on the wall over your computer where you'll see it every day.

Our friend from out of town rode here on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Panzer can't wait to go for a ride. He keeps talking about the wind blowing through his fur. He promises to wear a helmet and chaps ... if he can find ones small enough to fit ... hmmm. Hey, wait a minute .... Panzer come back here!

Aaron Patterson's Blog: Guest Post by CJ Lyons: Jack be Kindle, Jack be No...

Bestselling author CJ Lyons posts at Aaron Patterson's blog about how she went from National Bestseller to Amazon Bestseller.

This is not a rant against the Big 6. This is not a rant against traditional publishing. Instead it's about a straight-forward road to bestsellerdom using the momentum from one ebook to the next to the next. CJ recommends having 5-6 ebooks on your sales shelf.

To find out how to get the momentum rolling on your own bestseller ride read Aaron Patterson's Blog: Guest Post by CJ Lyons: Jack be Kindle, Jack be No...: Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you have seen the name CJ Lyons in the eBook and publishing new feeds all over the internet. She ...

B&N Ebook Bestseller List? Oh, Really?

Everywhere you go in the indie blogosphere over the last few days a lot of bloggers have been speculating about Barnes and Noble's bestseller ranking system. The speculation is that B&N's bestseller list has a $3.00 and below cutoff price point.

Which means what?

Well, apparently, the bestseller rankings may not be based on the number of ebooks sold, but, instead, on the price of those ebooks. That would mean the rankings are based on how much money you make, not how many ebooks you sell. Hmmm. When did the rules of the game change? And why weren't we told?

Not really a bestseller list, you say? Join the crowd. Read what Aaron Patterson has to say about this issue at THE WORST BOOK EVER!: B&N Must Hate Indie Authors! Or are they just out ...: " and then make up your own mind.

Let's Talk Numbers.

Let's continue with our look at marketing ebooks.

There is no doubt the pricing of your ebook has an effect on your sales. A 99 cent price tag on your ebook is a great incentive for an impulse buy to a purchaser. It also works as a sale price for an ebook they've been curious about, but not curious enough to pay full price.

Today, Aaron Patterson is examining his and Vincent Zandri's approach to pricing Vincent's ebooks. Vincent has been doing blog tours for his various ebooks. They've been adjusting the pricing on each book as it is featured in the tours.

Check here to see how it's been affecting the sales figures for each of the books:   THE WORST BOOK EVER!: Let's talk numbers.

THE WORST BOOK EVER!: Now Twitter!

Aaron Patterson is blogging about Twitter, one of the social media writers should learn to use. If nothing else, it teaches us brevity!
