Introducing Amazon's all new lineup of smart glasses: A first look ... About Amazon

 On today's stop at the About Amazon site Panzer found a post about Amazon's smart glasses.

My glasses. I'd say, "Alexa open the door."

The staff written post contains information about the new smart eyeglass frames and improvements made to Alexa as well. Performance enhancements have also been made to the music feature. Pricing and pre-order information are included in the post. Links to other information about the glasses are also included.

Panzer says, "It's the first time this little heard about these glasses."

Eight Default Amazon Security Settings You Can Change for More Privacy - The Digital Reader

Today Panzer decided to make a stop at The Digital Reader site. There with a little digging in the posts our illustrious kitty found one about making some changes to your Amazon account to gain more privacy.

It's scary what Amazon knows.

According to The Digital Reader site owner Nate Hoffelder, there are some Amazon default settings that users and shoppers should consider changing in order to better manage their privacy. The post covers several default settings to change ranging from your Public Profile to your Wish List and Shopping List to Goodreads to Alexa and more. There are screenshots included with some of the instructions for changing the settings as well as links to specific location sites in some of the other instructions.

Surprising Suitor for Amazon Headquarters II - Publishers Weekly

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he heard chortling and snickering coming from ahead of the Panzermobile. Following all the frivolity took our inquisitive kitty to the Publishers Weekly site. There he found a post about Amazon's Headquarters II.

According to the post by Kenny Brechner, the planet Saturn has entered the competition for the location of Amazon's Headquarters II (HQ2). The post is an interview with Saturn's representative Don Smilk. He uses Alexa to communicate with Mr. Brechner for the interview. Apparently, Saturn has big plans for HQ2 and is offering Amazon real estate, no taxes, free labor, Alexans and more.

The Amazon silliness ends tonight.

Panzer says, "There was the city that wanted to send Amazon a cactus. And the city that offered to change their name. And just last night the city that lit up in Amazon orange. So why shouldn't Saturn get into the competition?"

Amazon.com Announces Second Quarter Sales Up 25% to $38.0 Billion - Press Release

Panzer's trip into the Catosphere today took him to the Amazon news room site. There our traveling kitty boy found a post with interesting information about Amazon.

According to the press release, Amazon's 2017 second quarter net sales were up 25 percent to $38 billion over 2016 second quarter net sales of $30.4 billion. Also included in the beginning of the post are income figures, cash flow figures and stock figures. Below that is the Highlights section which includes what Amazon (and this little kitty) considers it's most important activities for the period. Included in this section are Amazon Video's 16 Emmy award nominations, Prime Day sales, Prime membership increase numbers, Amazon's charitable contributions, Echo news, Alexa news, and much more.

Just reading about it makes me tired.

Amazon Announces Third Annual Prime Day - 30 Hours, Hundreds of Thousands of Deals on July 11 - Business Wire

I can't stay awake for 30 hours.

Today, Panzer made a quick trip to the Business Wire site. There our speedy kitty found a press release about Amazon Prime.

According to the press release this year's Amazon Prime Day will be July 11. Amazon Prime members in (in alphabetic order) Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, UK, and US can participate in the sales deals. Although the press release heading says Prime Day is on July 11, in the press release it states the deals start on the evening of July 10. Included in the release is information about new features for this year's Prime Day like voice shopping with Alexa-exclusive deals and more.

Panzer says, "It also says in the press release that you can start a free trial Prime membership and be able to get in on the deals. There's even a link included to sign up."
