Draft2Digital Aquires SelfPubBookCovers.Com - Press Release

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when the Panzermobile was sudden shaken by the sound of clapping and cheering outside. Following all the jocularity took our brave kitty boy to the Draft2Digital site. There he found a press release about the company's newest acquisition was causing all the noise.

 

According to the press release, Draft2Digital (D2D) announced the acquisition of SelfPubBookCovers.Com. (SPBC) SPBC is a platform where illustrators and cover designers showcase their work. Authors can examine the covers and purchase any that will fit their book cover needs. SPBC will be part of D2D's Author Success division. 

Panzer says, "The press release says the author adds their own name and book title to the cover."

Panzer is on author Derek Murphy's email list. Before he began his writing career, Derek Murphy was a book cover designer. His email today includes a link to a series of tutorials he put together on book cover design. The tutorials demonstrate fonts, mood, character, background, lighting, magic, and typography. The tutorials are free to watch on YouTube.

Free is good. Double free is great.

 

Panzer says, "Don't worry if you don't have Photoshop. Gimp software works just like Photoshop and it's free."

More Time For You With Simple Marketing Tools

Whew! I'm glad I found my way home.

Panzer got lost in the Catosphere today. Our poor bewildered kitty was flying here and there trying to get his bearings. In his travels, he discovered the BookBub site.

At the site he found a post by Diane Urban about tools to make your ebook marketing easier. There's information on Trello for time management, Canva for image design, Feedly for a blog post aggregator and more. The post is from earlier this year but the information contained in it is still valid for indies today.

Panzer says, "I want anything that gives me more time in my day."
