Sue Grafton Sold Out - The Rap Sheet

 Panzer was shaken from his afternoon nap by booing and hissing coming from the Catosphere. Hopping in the Panzermobile, our intrepid kitty followed all the ballyhoo to The Rap Sheet site. There he discovered some news about Sue Grafton's Kinsey Milhone was causing all the angst.

Money over wishes.

According to a post by Linda L. Richards, the rights to the Kinsey Millhone books have been granted to A&E . Sue Grafton had said she never wanted the Kinsey novels to be sold to Hollywood. She was fierce about her wishes. She had even gone so far as to make her children swear to never go against her wishes. Apparently, her husband didn't agree with her wishes because he's the one who signed the contract.

Panzer says, "NOOOOO!"

Guardian Interviews Sue Grafton

Panzer found an interview with one of his favorite mystery authors, Sue Grafton, at The Guardian website.

After reading the excerpt from Grafton's new book, Kinsey and Me, about Grafton's childhood, Panzer vowed he'll never howl about his terrible kittenhood again. Being raised by two alcoholic parents Grafton's childhood was unbelievably horrible.

Panzer and I took our daily trip into the catosphere and checked in at Margot Kinberg's blog Confessions of a Mystery Novelist and found an interesting post, "The Signature is There."

"The Signature" of the post's title is the author's stamp on her mystery fiction. The author stamp can be alphabet titles, nursery rhyme titles, etc. Margot provides plenty of examples from Agatha Christie through Sue Grafton and beyond.
