Amazon rolls out AI-powered image generation to help advertisers deliver a better experience for customers - About Amazon News

For the last couple of days Panzer has been hearing about Amazon and AI images. Today our little kitty boy decided to see what he could find out at the Amazon News site. 

 

There he found a post about Amazon's new AI image generation feature for advertisers. With the feature advertisers can position their products with various background images. A link to a YouTube video showing how the feature works is included in the post. According to the post, it's in beta now and will be rolled out to more users later.

 

Nothing is ever really new.

Panzer says, "It will be an interesting feature for Amazon advertisers when the rollout is complete. Authors, however, have been able to position their books in different image backgrounds for advertisements for a long time using Book Brush."

First Image of Black Hole at the Center of the Milky Way - Various

Yesterday Panzer sent you to information about the SFWA Conference. Today he's sending you to information about the black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Yesterday was fiction. Today is reality.

 

According to various posts, the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration has announced the first image of the black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Included in the posts is information about how black holes work and how the image was captured. An image of the black hole was released on Twitter earlier this week. Both the CNet post and the Associated Press (AP) post listed below include the image.

 

There is so much out there to see.

Panzer says, "It's fantastic."

Panzer was out in the Catosphere looking for copyright-free stock photos for use as possible ebook covers. My bad kitty boy happened to find a post by Katelyn Pointek at Bad Language blog with a list of photo sites.

Ms. Pointek found sixteen sites that offer Creative Commons or Public Domain photos. The sites have three access options. Some of the sites offer access to everyone, some offer free signup membership, and some are subscription services.
