According to J. Kingston Pierce, the Audio Publishers Association has announced the Audie Award winners. The post lists the Mystery and the Thriller winners with a link to the other category winners.

 

Panzer says, "There are 27 categories."

The 30th Annual Audie Awards: 28 Category Winners - Publishing Perspectives

I wish they let cats narrate their own books.

Today, as Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere, he heard clapping and cheering outside the Panzermobile. Following all the hoopla took our inquisitive kitty boy to the Publishing Perspectives site. There he discovered news about the Audie Awards.

 

According to Porter Anderson's post, the Audie Awards were presented yesterday in New York. The Audie Awards are presented to the best narrator/reader in each of 28 categories. The list of winners is at the end of the post and some of them might surprise you.

 

Panzer says, "There's even a short story collection category."

 

Note: This is a long post. You'll need a big cup of cocoa (Mom's got a 20 ounce cup for her cocoa) and a big chocolate muffin with chocolate chips and chocolate frosting (Mom says you can never have enough chocolate) all to snack on while you read.

2025 Audie Awards Submissions Now Open - Publishers Weekly

Really? No awards for cat? Unbelievable.

Panzer found this press release at the Publishers Weekly site.

According to the press release, the Audie Awards submissions are now being accepted and judge applications are also being accepted. A link to more information is included in the press release.

Panzer says, "They don't have an award for cat narrators."

Sound Judgment - The Rap Sheet

No one respects cats speaking voices.

Panzer made a quick trip into the Catosphere today. Our little kitty pilot stopped in at The Rap Sheet site. There he found a post about the Audie Awards.  The Audie Awards are presented by the Audio Publishers Association.

J. Kingston Pierce lists the two mystery/thriller winners and nominees of the Audie Awards. The post includes links, one of which goes to the full list of winners and nominees. in all categories.

Panzer says, "As usual no cats were nominated."

The Sounds of Success - The Rap Sheet

Today, Panzer's nap was interrupted when he was shaken from his kitty bed by clapping and cheering coming from the Catosphere. Hopping in the Panzermobile, our groggy kitty boy set out to follow all the noise to The Rap Sheet site. There he discovered a post about the Audie Awards was causing all the jocularity.

J. Kingston Pierce's post is about the Audio Publishers Association's 2022 Audie Awards winners. The awards are given annually for audio book narrations. Among the winners listed in the post is Stephen King's Later with narration by Seth Numrich in the Mystery category. The post also lists other winners in the Best Narration by the Author(s), Science Fiction and Thriller categories.

I'd win in a paw vote.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... This little kitty wonders if they have a Best Narration by a Kitty Author category?"

On today's trip into the Catosphere Panzer made a quick stop at The Rap Sheet site. There he found a post about the Audie Awards finalists.

According to J. Kingston Pierce's post the 2022 Audio Awards finalists have been announced. The Audie Awards are presented by the Audio Publishers Association. There are 25 categories in the awards; however, only the mystery contenders are listed in the post. The post includes a link to the full list of finalists.

 

Panzer says, "This little kitty wishes they had an award for audio books narrated by a feline."

A Buoyant 2020 Audie Awards Celebrates 'The Only Plane in the Sky,' Stephen King - Publishers Weekly

Today as Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere, the Panzermobile was shaken by clapping and cheering coming from outside. Following all the hullabaloo took our brave kitty boy to the Publishers Weekly site. With no digging at all he found a post about the Audie Awards.

Jim Maher reports in his post that the 2020 Audie Awards were presented on March 2. The awards are given annually by the Audio Publishers Association. 'The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11' was named the Audiobook of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Stephen King. The entire list of all 24 winners is included at the end of the post.

Panzer says, "There are 24 winners because there is a winner for every genre, like one winner for mystery, one winner for fantasy, one winner for memoir, one winner for male narrator, one for female narrator, and one winner for each of the 19 remaining genres."

APA Revamps Audie Awards, Gala - Publishers Weekly (PW)

On today's trip into the Catosphere Panzer made a stop at the Publishers Weekly (PW) site. With just a little digging our inquisitive kitty found a post about the Audie Awards.

According to Shannon Maugan, the Audio Publishers Association has made changes to the Audie Awards program. The Audie Awards are presented to audio books each year. The APA has changed the categories and lowered the number of awards. The date of the awards presentation has also been changed to March 4, 2019 as well as the location to New York, NY. The submission deadlines have also changed. There's a link to the rules included in the post.

Guess we're not smart enough to be judges.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... There's a new rule for picking the Audiobook of the Year too. High profile authors (that means famous) will be the judges."
