On today's trip into the Catosphere Panzer's first stop was at The Rap Sheet.

 

 J. Kingston Pierce's post at the site lists the nominees in the four categories for the Barry Awards. The winners are picked by the Deadly Pleasures readers.

 

 Panzer says, "If you're a subscriber, the post includes a link to vote."

We can't neglect the Barrys and Thrillers - The Rap Sheet

So much to read and so little time.

Panzer made a quick stop at The Rap Sheet site. There he found a post about the Barry Awards and the Thriller Awards.

 

J. Kingston Pierce's post lists all the nominees in each of the categories for both the Barry Awards and the Thriller Awards.

 

Panzer says, "There are a lot of books and short stories on those lists to read before the awards are announced."

Getting in on the Barrys - The Rap Sheet

 Panzer was just getting ready for a nap when he heard strange noises coming from the Catosphere. Our inquisitive kitty boy hopped in the Panzermobile to see what was so exciting. Following all the noise, took him to The Rap Sheet site. There he discovered its time to vote for the Barry Awards.

 

Now. About that nap.

According to J. Kingston Pierce's post, the voting is now open for the Barry Awards. The Barrys are given annually by Deadly Pleasures Mystery Magazine. Surprisingly, although just announced yesterday, votes must be submitted by Monday August 1. The post has a link to the finalist list and voting instructions.

 

Panzer says, "Hurry human! Hurry!"

 

Note: This is a short post. No need for anything to eat or drink. Just hurry and vote.

Upcoming Mystery Awards Ceremonies

Today, when Panzer was cleaning the Panzermobile, he found four wadded up posts. The first he found under the pilot's seat was about the Lefty Awards nominees. The second he found in the glove box was about the Agatha Awards nominees. The third he found in the cup holder was about the Barry Awards nominees. The fourth he found under the wiper blade for the windscreen was about the CrimeFEST Awards nominees.

Instead of posting each individually, our fastidious kitty boy decided to put them all together in one post.

Announcing 2018's Barry Award Nominees - CriminalElement.com

Panzer had just entered the Catosphere today when he heard clapping and cheering. Following all the noise took him to the CriminalElement.com site. There our adventuresome kitty found a post about the Barry Award nominees.

I never get nominated for anything.

According to the post at the CriminalElement.com site, the Deadly Pleasures Mystery Magazine has announced the nominees for the Barry Award. The Award is named for fan and critic Barry Gardner. Only readers of the Deadly Pleasures Mystery Magazine can vote for the awards and only fiction is considered for the awards. The awards will be presented September 6, 2018 at Bouchercon in St. Petersberg, Florida.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... The award nominee season just keeps on going."
