The Last Laurels in Bristol - The Rap Sheet

Will another group take their place?
Today, Panzer made a trip to The Rap Sheet site. There our traveling kitty found a post about CrimeFest convention in the U.K..

In his post J. Kingston Pierce lists the CrimeFest award winners and those also nominated. As Panzer told you earlier this month, CrimeFest announced on their site they are closing down. The post also includes links to other information about the closing and reactions to it.

Panzer says, "This little kitty will miss them."

Note: This is a long-medium length post. Bring a cup of tea and two chocolate chip cookies (biscuits) to snack on.

CrimeFest - The International Crime Fiction Convention - Awards Shortlist

The convention is in the UK.
Panzer stopped in at the CrimeFest site and found the announcement of the nominees for this year's awards.

The winner in each of the seven categories will be announced on May 17.

Click the link below to go to the CrimeFest site. Upon arrival at the site an announcement about CrimeFest closing this year appears. Click the Close button in the upper right corner of the announcement. Scroll down to the list of Awards in the black box. Click each award to see the nominee's list for that award.(Sometimes, the announcement doesn't appear and you're taken to the long list of entries instead of the nominees list. Don't ask me why. I'm a cat not a computer nerd.)

Upcoming Mystery Awards Ceremonies

Today, when Panzer was cleaning the Panzermobile, he found four wadded up posts. The first he found under the pilot's seat was about the Lefty Awards nominees. The second he found in the glove box was about the Agatha Awards nominees. The third he found in the cup holder was about the Barry Awards nominees. The fourth he found under the wiper blade for the windscreen was about the CrimeFEST Awards nominees.

Instead of posting each individually, our fastidious kitty boy decided to put them all together in one post.

The information about each award and the nominees is available by following the links below.

Pandemic Won't Cancel CrimeFest Prizes - The Rap Sheet

Panzer didn't even make back home for a nap, before he heard clapping and cheering outside the Panzermobile. Following all the jocularity took our busy kitty boy to The Rap Sheet site. There he found a post about CrimeFest.

Some familiar names on that list, but not mine.
According to the post by J. Kingston Pierce, although The International Crime Fiction Convention CrimeFest has been cancelled this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic the prizes will still be awarded. The winners will be announced online. The post includes the complete short list. The post also includes a link to a post on the Shots site with information about some of the entries and the history of CrimeFest.

Panzer says, "This little kitty wishes they had the whole convention online."

Note: This is a long list of all the contestants. Bring a cup of tea and a muffin to read all the titles of the contestants. If you plan to follow the link to the Shots post, bring another muffin.
