Indigo Agrees to Be Taken Private By Trilogy At $2.50 Per Share - CISION*

Look at how the shareholders thingy vote works.

Panzer found an interesting press release at CISION about Canada's Indigo Books and Music Inc.

 

According to the press release the company is going private which means stock shares will no longer be traded on the market.

 

A shareholders vote on the issue will be held in May and the takeover will happen in June.

Indigo Posts Fiscal 2019 Loss - Publishers Weekly

Today, Panzer made a quick trip to the Publishers Weekly site. With a little digging in the posts there he discovered one about Indigo Books and Music.

I'll watch them this year.

According to Publishers Weekly's Jim Milliot, Canada's Indigo Books and Music just reported their 2019 sales. Indigo's fiscal 2019 year ended on March 30 2019. The fiscal report shows sales were down 3 percent against fiscal 2018 sales. The company says store renovations, closures and other operating expenses contributed to the lower sales figure.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... One bad year doesn't mean anything as long as it doesn't continue into this year."

Indigo's Q3 Earnings Hit by Postal Strike - Publishers Weekly

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he heard crying and gnashing of teeth. Following all the noise took our brave kitty boy to the Publishers Weekly site. There our brave kitty boy found a post about Indigo Books and Music.

According to the post by Ed Nawotka, the Canada Post strike hit Indigo Books and Music's third quarter hard. The strike impacted the company's deliveries and helped push revenue down 1.7 percent. Increased employee wages and store improvements also contributed to the revenue decline. On a brighter note CEO Heather Reisman said the company opened their first U.S. store and it was well received.

Inquiring kitties want to know.

Panzer says, "This little kitty is wondering when the second U.S. store will open."

Amazon Opens the Second "Shit People Like to Buy" Store in Denver - The Digital Reader

Sorry about the bad word. He wrote it.

Today Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he decided to make a quick stop at The Digital Reader site. With a little digging around he found a post about Amazon's newest store.

According to The Digital Reader site owner Nate Hoffelder, Amazon is opening a new bricks and mortar store in Denver, Colorado. This will be an Amazon 4-star store. This is the second Amazon 4-star store opened this year. The first was opened in New York City. The 4-star stores sell merchandise shoppers have reviewed with at least a 4 star rating. The post quotes extensively from a BusinessDen post.

Panzer says, "Be sure and read the Comments section. This little kitty totally agrees with the Indigo Books and Music comment."

Indigo Books and Music Opens First US Bookstore - The Digital Reader

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he heard clapping and cheering and oohhing and aahhing. Following all the hullabaloo took our intrepid kitty traveler to The Digital Reader site. With no digging at all he found a post about Indigo Books and Music.

How will they do in the U.S.?

According to The Digital Reader site owner Nate Hoffelder, Canadian bookseller Indigo Books and Music has opened the company's first U.S. store. The new store opened in Short Hills, New Jersey. Indigo stores sell more than books and call the stores "cultural department stores." In addition to books, the U.S. store will sell toys, home decor and life style products.  There will also be a cafe. Indigo plans 3 to 5 more U.S. The post includes a link to an announcement about the new store's opening.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... Indigo does sound like a department store to this little kitty."
