Here's a new feature Panzer found to sell ebooks on the MailerLite site.

 

The MailerLite blog post by Magle Navickaile explains how to set up your dashboard so you can sell your epub books through MailerLite. There's also a Youtube video with more information.

Reaching Readers at the Dollar Store - Publishers Weekly

Today, Panzer made a stop at the Publishers Weekly site. With a little digging in the posts, our inquisitive kitty found one about selling in dollar stores.

An interesting market idea.

According to the post by Karen Raugust, some of those books you see in dollar stores aren't remaindered books. They're actually books supplied by publishers. Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Five Below, and Family Dollar stores are all viable market places for new book sales. While the profit margins are lower, the opportunity for greater sales will make up for it. The post includes interviews with publishers and distributors. The sale of children's books is concentrated on.

Panzer says, "This little kitty didn't know those were new books."

Why the Second-Hand Ebook Market May Never Take Off - Fortune

Panzer was cleaning out the console next to the pilot's seat when he found a wadded up post. Flattening it out he discovered it was a post from the Fortune site about selling your "used" ebooks.

According to David Meyer's post on the Fortune site, the European Union's (EU) highest court has put the "second-hand" "used" ebook market out of business. In a ruling against former used ebook store now used ebook book club Tom Kabinet, the court ruled ebooks cannot be treated the same as hardback/paperback books and re-sold. Whether the ruling will apply to streaming material such as games and music wasn't addressed in the ruling, but will probably be in future cases.

If it's illegal there, I guess it's illegal here.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... I didn't even know there was a market for used ebooks."

Simon and Schuster Tells Libraries To Sell Ebooks?

"Quiet!"

Panzer just can't get any sleep lately because of all the CATerwauling in the Catosphere. With his eyes barely open from the lack of cat rejuvenation he went out in the Panzermobile. He found the origin of all the noise over at the GOODEREADER blog.

GOODEREADER Editor in Chief Michael Kozlowski takes issue with Simon and Schuster over their new library contracts. Mr. Kozlowski says the contracts say the libraries will be forced to sell S&S's ebooks in order to be allowed to loan them to patrons. It turns out libraries selling books is illegal in some states

 ... and ...

being told to sell ebooks is making librarians irate in other states.

So, now we know what all the CATerwauling is about.

Panzer says, "Will I ever get to take a nap in a quiet place?"
