The 1944 radio drama The Tell Tale Heart was written by Edgar Allan Poe. It's 27 minutes long.

Everybody knows the line "Nevermore."

Panzer thought, if you're a short audio horror fan, there's no better way to entertain you than with this horror poem he found on the RedFrost Motivation channel on YouTube..

The poem The Raven was written by Edgar Allan Poe and is narrated by Shane Morris. It's 11 minutes long.

While the Mystery Writers of America give the Edgar Awards for best mystery writing each year, Poe was also known for his horror writing. So, in preparation for the coming Halloween, here's Edgar Allen Poe's life story on the Biography Channel on YouTube.The video is 43 minutes long.

Announcing 2018's Edgar Award Nominees - CriminalElement.com

Panzer is spending today in the Catosphere getting caught up on all the writing news. Our busy kitty's first stop today was at the Criminal Element. com site. With some digging he found a post about the Edgar Award nominations.

According to the post, the Mystery Writers of America (MWA) has announced the nominees for the Edgar Awards for 2018. The Edgar Award is named for Edgar Allen Poe. The Edgars are given annually for crime fiction and non-fiction in adult, young adult, juvenile, children, and television writing. The awards will be presented April 26 in New York City at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The post includes all the nominees with links to some of the nominated works.

On to my next stop.

Panzer says, "MeWow! There are a lot of nominees."

2015 Edgar Award Nominations Announced

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere and stopped in at J. Kingston Pierce's The Rap Sheet blog. Our kitty boy reporter has been waiting and waiting and waiting for the release of the names of the 2015 Mystery Writers of America (MWA) nominees for the Edgar Allan Poe (the Edgar) Awards. According to Mr. Pierce, they've finally been announced.

The Spirit of Poe a major bust

Panzer is not happy. 

He went to visit Jason Dark today and got some very disturbing news. Guido Henkel has a warning for all of us over at his blog.

Henkel and several other writers submitted stories to a proposed charity book to raise money for the Edgar Allan Poe house. The book publisher has turned out to be nothing but trouble for the writers involved.

Panzer says you need to read what happened to our fellow writers. Pass the word around about this situation with your tweets, on your Facebook page and your blog.
