Mom is sick with a cold, so Panzer made a very quick trip into the Catosphere today. Our traveling kitty stopped in at the Pottermore site. There he found a video trailer for the new J.K. Rowling Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald movie.

How many naps until the movie?

After you watch the trailer scroll down and read all the explanations and descriptions that go with it. According to the trailer and the explanation, the movie is about Dumbledore and Newt against Grindelwald.

Panzer says, "The video is really exciting. This little kitty can't wait to see the movie!"

Pottermore to allow free e-book library loans - The Bookseller

Panzer's trip into the Catosphere today took him to The Bookseller site. There our intrepid kitty pilot found a post about free Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone ebook loans from UK libraries.

According to the post by Heloise Wood, Pottermore will be allowing UK libraries to do unlimited loans of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the book's publication library patrons have from June 26 through July 9 to get the digital copy. Pottermore has also set up a Twitter account and a new free Wizarding World Book Club site to celebrate the anniversary. The Bookseller post includes a link to the Twitter account.

Whew! That was a lot of digging.

Panzer says, "I did some digging and discovered where the Wizarding World Book Club signup site is. Mom included it at the bottom of my post."

The Marauder's Map - Pottermore

Who needs a map? Not me.

Today, Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he decided to stop in at the Pottermore site. Everybody knows our kitty boy is a big Harry Potter fan, so he was doing the happy kitty dance when he found a new post by J.K. Rowling at the site.

What our fan kitty found was the story of The Marauder's Map by J.K. Rowling explaining the origin and creation by James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. At the end of the post, Ms. Rowling gives her thoughts on the use of the map by Harry.

Panzer says, "All those shape shifters and not one smart enough to be a kitty."

J.K. Rowling Reveals Her Patronus on Twitter - GalleyCat

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he heard ooohing and aaahing outside the Panzermobile. Following all the noise took our intrepid traveling kitty to the GalleyCAT site. There he found news about Pottermore.

According to a post by Maryann Yin, J.K. Rowling announced her Patronus on Twitter. Using the quiz at Pottermore, she discovered her Patronus is the heron. Found in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban the Patronus is a guardian that protects against the Dementors. In a separate GalleyCAT post announcing the Patronus quiz going live, there is a link to Pottermore. At Pottermore you either have to already be a member or signup there to take the quiz and get your Patronus.

Panzer says, "Mom doesn't need a Patronus. She has me to protect her."

J.K. Rowling Reveals the Original Name of Dean Thomas - Galleycat

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when his trip was interrupted by clapping and cheering. Following all the raucous noise, took our inquisitive kitty boy to the GalleyCAT site. There he found news about J.K. Rowling's latest plans for her wizarding world.

I can wait. It's only a week.

According to the post by Maryann Yin, J.K. Rowling has posted drawings of characters from her Harry Potter books at the Pottermore site. Ms. Rowling has also announced that on September 6 three short story collections will be available at the site as well. Included in the post are links to the drawings and the short story collections availability announcement.

Panzer says, "Hmmm ... I didn't know she was an artist too."

A nice trip to school.

Panzer got back from the vet with a clean bill of health. To celebrate our happy kitty got back in the Panzermobile to make another trip into the Catosphere. Over at the J.K. Rowling site Pottermore he discovered a video about the Ilvermorney School. He also found, if you register, you can learn your house at Hogwarts and/or at Ilvermorny. You can also read about the schools and get your wand. He can't wait for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to come out.

Panzer says, "It's an interesting place to visit for an inquisitive kitty."

J.K. Rowling under fire for writing about "Native American wizards" - The Guardian

I'm staying out of it.

Panzer didn't make it very far in his trip into the Catosphere today. Our traveling kitty had barely started when he heard shouting and snarling. He followed all the noise to The Guardian site.

According to a post by Alison Flood, it turns out all the hubbub was caused by one of J.K. Rowling's posts at Pottermore. Panzer told you last week about Ms. Rowling's posts about wizardry in America. Some members of the Navajo Native American culture found her post about their legend of the skinwalkers disrespectful. Apparently, there has been quite a few Tweets on Twitter about it. The post also includes a link to the post about skinwalkers.

Panzer says, "One of the first things this little kitty learned was don't use real people, places or things in a story. It's just safer that way."

J.K. Rowling publishes new story about skin-walkers - cnet

During Panzer's trip in the Catosphere today, our little kitty heard cheering and clapping. Following all the happy noises to the cnet site, he discovered news about J.K. Rowling.

Now, you may remember, our kitty boy is a big fan of Harry Potter. So much so, that last year he managed to get accepted to Hogwarts. Now, any kind of news about Pottermore is big news to him.

According to the post at cnet by Bonnie Burton, Ms. Rowling has started a series of posts called "Magic of North America" at the Pottermore site. She will write one post per day standing yesterday and ending Friday. The cnet post includes a link to Pottermore and the "Magic of North America" series.

I'm out of here. Gotta go read it.

Panzer says, "No time for anything more now. I'm off to the Catosphere to learn what Ms. Rowling's got planned for North America."

J. K. Rowling Explains Why Dursleys Mistreated Harry Potter

I'm a little better today.

Panzer is feeling a little better today, so he made a quick trip into the Catosphere. Our recovering kitty boy stopped in at The Guardian site. There he found a post about Harry Potter, one of his favorite non-mystery fictional characters.

According to Alison Flood's post, J. K. Rowling wrote a post at Pottermore.com to explain why the Dursleys treated Harry Potter so badly. Ms. Rowling wrote that there were old resentments between the Dursleys and Harry Potter's parents Lily and James. Because of this, the Dursley's took their resentments out on Harry.

Panzer says, "If you're a Harry Potter fan, you do have an account at Pottermore.com, right?"

J.K. Rowling, Pottermore and Christmas

Panzer was over at GalleyCAT today.

My good kitty reporter discovered it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Pottermore. According to Dianna Dilworth, J.K. Rowling will be giving away a gift each day from December 12 through December 23.

Panzer says, "There's only 19 days until Christmas, but whose counting?"
