Mom is sick with a cold, so Panzer made a very quick trip into the Catosphere today. Our traveling kitty stopped in at the Pottermore site. There he found a video trailer for the new J.K. Rowling Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald movie.

How many naps until the movie?

After you watch the trailer scroll down and read all the explanations and descriptions that go with it. According to the trailer and the explanation, the movie is about Dumbledore and Newt against Grindelwald.

Panzer says, "The video is really exciting. This little kitty can't wait to see the movie!"

Scholastic Releases "Fantastic Beasts" Cover Design - PW

There's no cats on them.

Panzer  was tootling around in the Catosphere and stopped in at the PW (Publishers' Weekly) site. Our adventuresome kitty happened to find an announcement there about the cover design releases for J. K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

According to the post by John Maher, Scholastic released the covers for the screen play of the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and the covers for two movie tie-in books. The covers are included in the post.

Panzer says, "I did my cover reveal today, so I thought it was only fair to give equal time to Scholastic for J. K. Rowling."

J.K. Rowling Reveals the Original Name of Dean Thomas - Galleycat

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when his trip was interrupted by clapping and cheering. Following all the raucous noise, took our inquisitive kitty boy to the GalleyCAT site. There he found news about J.K. Rowling's latest plans for her wizarding world.

I can wait. It's only a week.

According to the post by Maryann Yin, J.K. Rowling has posted drawings of characters from her Harry Potter books at the Pottermore site. Ms. Rowling has also announced that on September 6 three short story collections will be available at the site as well. Included in the post are links to the drawings and the short story collections availability announcement.

Panzer says, "Hmmm ... I didn't know she was an artist too."

Cursed Child Sales Top Two Million - PW (Publishers' Weekly)

On Panzer's trip into the Catosphere today he spent his time looking for news about J.K. Rowlings' new book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Our traveling kitty told you about the country-wide bookstore parties for the book's launch and wanted any followup news he could find. Panzer found some good news and some bad news in his hunting.

In a post by Jim Milliot at the Publishers' Weekly site, our kitty reporter discovered the good news that the script for the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child turned book of the same name had enormous sales. Over the two days after the launch night the book sold two million copies in the U.S. alone. The book hit #1 on Amazon. The post includes links to reviews of the book.

It makes me very sad.

Panzer discovered the bad news in a post by Maryann Yin at GalleyCat titled J. K. Rowing Declares Cursed Child to be the Final Harry Potter Story. According to Ms. Rowling, Harry Potter is being supplanted by a new generation and so there will be no more books about him . The post includes a link to the original interview.

J.K. Rowling Has Been Working on a New Children's Book - GalleyCat

A new book?

After this week of nothing but Amazon news and nearly wearing his poor claws down to nubs, Panzer managed to dig up some news that isn't about Amazon! Stopping in at the GalleyCAT site, our big bad kitty found a post about a new J.K. Rowling project.

According to Maryann Yin, Ms. Rowling revealed in a radio interview she has a children's book she's been working on. While Ms. Rowling was very secretive about the book's contents, she did say she intends to finish it, but she didn't say exactly how long that will take.

Panzer says, "Inquiring kitties want to know: What age group is the children's book for?"

No Harry Potter TV Series According To J. K. Rowling

Stop! I can't take any more.

Panzer brings you sad news for all Harry Potter fans from the GalleyCAT site today.

According to a post by Maryann Yin, J. K. Rowling tweeted on Twitter that there won't be a Harry Potter TV series.

Also ...

There won't be an opera ...

or ...

an ice show.

No Panzer says today. He was laughing so hard he fell off my lap when he was telling me about the opera and the ice show. Now, he's just laying there giggling.

J. K. Rowling Explains Why Dursleys Mistreated Harry Potter

I'm a little better today.

Panzer is feeling a little better today, so he made a quick trip into the Catosphere. Our recovering kitty boy stopped in at The Guardian site. There he found a post about Harry Potter, one of his favorite non-mystery fictional characters.

According to Alison Flood's post, J. K. Rowling wrote a post at Pottermore.com to explain why the Dursleys treated Harry Potter so badly. Ms. Rowling wrote that there were old resentments between the Dursleys and Harry Potter's parents Lily and James. Because of this, the Dursley's took their resentments out on Harry.

Panzer says, "If you're a Harry Potter fan, you do have an account at Pottermore.com, right?"

American Hogwarts School Of Wizardry?

Hurry ... Hurry ... I can't wait.

Panzer's sensitive hearing heard faint shouts and cheers coming from the Catosphere this morning. Our fearless kitty hopped in the Panzermobile and headed out.

Following the noise lead him to the Time.com site. There he discovered a video about Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling's announcement that there is an ... American School of Wizardry. All this is in relation to the 2016 movie based on Rowling's 2001 book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Panzer says, "I'm making popcorn for the new movie."

A New J.K. Rowling Novel?

Maybe, if I wish hard enough.

Panzer stopped in at the New York Daily News site. This is the first time our kitty adventurer has been to this site.

Panzer found a post by Jason Silverstein there about one of his favorite authors, J. K. Rowling. According to Mr. Silverstein, Ms. Rowling tweeted she's starting a new novel. Don't get your hopes up too high. Remember, she did say a while ago that she'd never write another Harry Potter book. But ... you never know.

Panzer says, "Maybe, if I give her a present of a mouse, that might change her mind."

J. K. Rowling's Novel The Casual Vacancy Ending Changed

I hate when the show isn't like the book!

Panzer headed out into the Catosphere today looking for news for you. After tootling around for a while, our kitty boy adventurer stopped in at The Bookseller site.

Panzer found a post by the staff about the BBC's production of J. K. Rowling's novel The Casual Vacancy. Turns out they didn't like the novel's ending because they found it too "bleak." So, they changed it to make it happier.

Panzer says, "Grrr! Hundreds of thousands of humans (750,000 in the U.K. to be exact) read the book and liked it. but what do they know? Nothing according to the BBC."
