Storytel Adds English Audiobook Sales to Streaming Platform - Publishers Weekly

That's an interesting announcement.

Panzer's next stop was at the Publishers Weekly site. There with no digging at all in the posts he found one about Storytel.

 

According to Ed Nawotka's post, Storytel is adding individual English language audiobooks for sale on the streaming platform. The post includes links, one of which goes to the Storytel site and the announcement.

 

Panzer says, "Hmm ... Does this mean no translations needed?"

The International Dublin Writers' Festival

 

It's recorded too.

The International Dublin Writers' Festival has announced the schedule and speakers for this year's festival.

The Festival will begin September 15 and end September 17. Attendance can be either in-person in Dublin or online.

The schedule and costs are available at the site. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the different prices depending on whether you plan to "attend" one or two days or the days and the award dinner. All the choices are very inexpensive.

Media Murder for Monday - In Reference to Murder

When Panzer was heading home he decided to make a stop at the In Reference to Murder site. There with just a little digging in the posts he found one about murder and mystery in the media.

 

So much to do.

The post has information about TV series, movies, streaming services, theater, and podcasts. Included are plot descriptions, actors, authors, hosts, presenters, and directors.

Panzer says, "This little kitty will be watching and listening to these."

These 12 Free TV Apps Let You Watch Your Favorite Shows - Without the Bill - The Penny Hoarder

Day before yesterday Panzer found $50 wifi internet access for you. Today in his Catosphere travels he went to The Penny Hoarder site. After a little digging in the posts our determined kitty found one with information about free TV apps in a post by Chris Brantner.

 

Just what I need to nap to.

The apps work on computers, smart TVs, Windows, and different streaming devices. Be sure to read the descriptions to make sure it will Day work for you. There are movies, TV series (both new and old), classic TV, and children's TV shows.

 

Panzer says, "These TV apps have both a free level and a paid level, so make sure you sign-up for the level you want."

Amazon streams Thursday Night Football again with new X-Ray feature audio feed, Twitch shows - GeekWire

Today Panzer made a stop at the GeekWire site. Although the post he found there doesn't have anything to do with publishing, our adventuresome kitty boy found it interesting. Amazon is live streaming the Thursday Night Football games for Prime members.

 

According to the post by Taylor Soper, Amazon just signed a new multi-year contract to stream the football games.  The post includes links to information about Amazon's added features of extra streamed programming for stats, audio and programming on Amazon's Twitch. The post also includes a schedule of all the Thursday night games which will be live streamed.

I'm ready for football.

Panzer says, "Hmm ... They sure like cats in football. There are teams called the Bengals, the Jaguars and the Panthers."

Heard of VUDU for Streaming Movies and TV Series?

Today as Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere, he remembered something Mom said. Our inquisitive kitty boy heard Mom telling What's His Name about this streaming site she found online called VUDU and he wanted to check it out. About a week ago Panzer told you about another site Mom found called Peacock TV.

Mom says, "When in doubt, go with free."

Mom said the VUDU site has two memberships. One is paid and one is free. Mom signed up for the free one so she could test how it works and what's offered. With the right equipment and cables the site can be streamed on to your TV. Rather than do that, Mom just watched some of the offerings on her laptop. The site has movies and TV series. Mom didn't check everything there, but in the free section it doesn't look like there's current movies or TV series, but there are some interesting mystery movies and TV shows. The paid section where you "rent movies" has the newer selections.

Panzer says, "This little kitty isn't sure if this is available outside the U.S., because Mom only found U.S. movies and shows there."

Heard of Peacock TV?

Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere when he heard clapping and cheering outside the Panzermobile. Following all the hullabaloo took our brave kitty to the Peacock TV site.

This isn't a regular stop for publishing news; instead, it's a site for tv shows and movies. The site has two memberships. One is free and the other is paid. The paid membership is $4.99 per month. With the proper equipment or certain cable TV boxes  you can steam shows and movies to your television. You can also stream to your computer or tablet. Mom signed up for the free membership and is streaming it to her laptop to see how it works and what's offered. So far, she's found shows from the 1950's all the way up to today in the free section. If you move the cursor over the show icon, it tells you how many episodes are available to watch. There's a bunch of movies there too.
