Bloody Scotland Events Program Available

Bloody Scotland is always a lot of fun.

Panzer's last stop today was at the Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival site.

 

The program for September's Bloody Scotland is available at the site. At the site if you click the View Our Program you'll be taken to a flip book site. If instead you scroll down the page, you'll see all the events. If you click the button under an event, you'll be taken to see the ticket costs. Some of the events are online only.

Bloody Scotland The Podcast

Interesting.

The Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival has a new episode up at Bloody Scotland The Podcast. 

 

The episode features an interview with writer JD Kirk and Imani Thompson discussing her novel, Honey.

 

The episode is 42 minutes long.

Glencaire Crystal Crime Short Story Competition

You've got time to write for the competition.

Panzer discovered the annual Glencairn Crystal Crime Short Story Competition is open for submissions.

 

The competition is open to short crime fiction under 2,000 words. The theme is the main character must be from Scotland. (Remember Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival) The competition closes March 31.

 

The Glencaire Crystal site has all the submission rules.

Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival Program

That's a great line-up of authors to be presenters.

While he was traveling around in the Catosphere today Panzer made a quick stop at the Bloody Scotland site. With no digging at all in the posts he discovered the program for the festival.

 

The program lists all the presenters, the title of the presentation, whether or not the presentation is in-person or online and how much tickets cost.

The winner will be announced at our Prizes and Drinks Reception on Friday the 12th of September from 5.15pm, and will lead a ‘Day of the Deid’ procession to the Albert Halls, afterwards. 

Bloody Scotland Debut Prize Shortlist Revealed

Bloody Scotland is always a lot of fun.

Panzer made a quick stop at the Bloody Scotland site where he found the announcement of the 2025 Debut Book Prize shortlist of nominees.

 

There are five nominees for the prize. The post contains a short bio and book description for each nominee included in the announcement. The winner will be announced September 12.

Bloody Scotland Debut Novel Shortlist Announced

Bloody Scotland is always fun.

Panzer made a quick trip to the Bloody Scotland site. Bloody Scotland is Scotland's International Crime Writing Festival.

 

According to the post on the Bloody Scotland blog, the shortlist of five books for the Bloody Scotland Debut Novel has been announced.The blog post lists the author, the book and a description of the plot.

Bloody Scotland: Winning Authors Revealed

They got to lead the procession, too.

Today, Panzer went to the Blood Scotland's International Crime Writing Festival site. There our curious little kitty boy discovered they had announced The McIlvanney Prize and The Bloody Scotland Debut Prize winners.

 

Callum McSorley won The McIlvanney Prize Scottish Crime Book of the Year and Kate Foster won The Bloody Scotland Scottish Crime Debut of the Year.

The International Crime Writing Festival begins September 15 and ends September 17. If you can't attend in person, this is your last chance to get get tickets for the online events. The link below takes you to a list of all the events and their prices.

Bloody Scotland Events and Costs Schedule

Panzer made a stop at the Bloody Scotland site today. Bloody Scotland is Scotland's International Crime Writing Festival. It runs September 15 - 17. If you plan to attend whether in-person or online, he found all the event schedules and costs for you.

 

I'm ready, Mom.

Since Panzer doesn't like riding in airplanes, he checked the scheduling and costs for the online events. Individual online events are available, a Masterclass pass is available and a digital pass is available as well as the individual in-person events. You can read the full event descriptions by clicking the event title. You'll need to check the site to convert the times and costs to your own country's time and currency.

 

Panzer says, "I've gone twice online and it was so much fun."

Bloody Scotland Festival Schedule Announced

 

It's a lot of fun.

Today's trip into the Catosphere took Panzer to the Bloody Scotland site. 

 

There he discovered they have a flip book for the conference schedule. The flip book lists all the classes and the panel members. The conference will be both online and in person September 15 - 17.

Bloody Scotland, Scotland's International Crime Writing Festival, Events Schedule

Today, Panzer went to the Bloody Scotland site and discovered the events schedule for the upcoming International Crime Writing Festival has been announced. The conference is September 15 - 18.

This is my excited.look.

At the Event Schedule page clicking on an event's title will take you to an information page. There you will find the cost to attend and a purchase button. In addition to the individual event tickets, there is a Digital Pass also available. The Pass gives online access to forty of the events. Not all events are available with the Pass so it's important to check the list of what the Pass covers. The online events covered by the Pass are only available for viewing online until October 6.

 

Panzer says, "With all the authors and their stories about writing the Festival is always so much fun."

 

Note: Since the schedule covers the events for the entire festival, you'll need to decide what drinks and food to bring for your reading today.

Bloody Scotland Announces Prize Winners

You know it's hybrid this year.

Panzer's trip into the Catosphere today took him to the Bloody Scotland site. Bloody Scotland is the name given to the Scotland International Crime Writing Festival. At the site he discovered the McIlvanney Prize and the Debut Prize winners were announced.

 

The news release announces Craig Russell's novel Hyde won the McIlvanney Prize and Robbie Morrison's novel Edge of the Grave won the Debut Prize.

Bloody Scotland Programme

Today, Panzer made a trip to the Bloody Scotland site. There our brave kitty boy found information about this year's Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival.

 

It will be recorded to watch until September 30.

According to the announcement on the site, the authors attending both in-person and online have been announced. Kathy Reichs, Stephen King, Ian Rankin, and Val McDermid and others are scheduled to be presenters. The festival will run September 17 - 19. "Tickets" are available now. Since this will be a hybrid event, tickets can be purchased individually for the different events or for sections of the events. Ticket prices are listed at the bottom of the landing page. If you want to see the different presentations are, click the Events button at the top of the post and that will take you to the page which lists the location, day and time of the different presentations.

 

Panzer says, "Now, this little kitty needs to get Mom to convert pounds into dollars and dollars into kitty kibble for me so I can figure out how much it's going to cost me to watch the festival online this year."

Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival News

Today, Panzer made a quick stop at the Bloody Scotland site. There he discovered the latest news about this year's event.

According to the post at the site, this year's Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival will be a hybrid event. Part of it will be in-person and part of it online. If you are uncomfortable participating in-person or unable to travel to Scotland, the entire event will be available online later. The crime writing festival will be September 17 - 19. Information about the schedule and tickets will be posted at the site on August 18.

We had so much fun last year.

 

Panzer says, "Hmm ... This little kitty wonders how much it will cost to watch it online."
