There are 8 finalists listed. The winner will be announced in October.

DPR's Digital Publishing Award Goes International This Year - Publishing Perspectives

Entry is international now.

Today, our inquisitive kitty boy found information at the Publishing Perspectives site about the Digital Publishing Report (DPR)  Award.

 

According to Erin L. Cox's post, the award will now be open internationally. The post contains a list of the judges, the categories and a link to the submission guidelines.

 

Panzer says, "Entry deadline is August 22."

2024 Washington State Book Award Winners Announced! - Library of Congress Center for the Book Washington

Mom's TBR list just got bigger.

In his travels today Panzer stopped at the Library of Congress Center for the Book site. There our inquisitive kitty found the announcement of the Washington State Book Award Winners.

 

Panzer says, "Since there are seven categories and a winner listed in each category with the finalists following that list, it's easier if you go to the site and read the post."

Scotland's Highland Book Prize Names Sally Huband It's Winner - Publishing Perspectives

It's hard to keep track of all the prizes and awards.

Panzer made a stop at the Publishing Perspectives site.

 

There our traveling kitty boy found Porter Anderson's post about the 2023 winner of Scotland's Highland Book Prize. The post explains the criteria for the prize and who the supporters of it are. It also includes links to information about the winner, the prize and the supporters.

 

Panzer says, "This little kitty doesn't remember ever hearing about this prize before."

Peculier Praise - The Rap Sheet

Panzer found a post about the winner of the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel Award at The Rap Sheet site.

 

J. Kingston Pierce's post lists the winner and the other novels on the short list. It also has the winner of the McDermid Debut Award.

 

Panzer says, "Looks like Mom's TBR pile of books just got taller."

Muder Mystery Puzzle Book Murdle Wins at the 2024 British Book Awards

You'll enjoy the puzzles.

When Panzer stopped at the Murdle Puzzle site today, there was an announcement there that the Murdle book had won a British Book Awards category. 

 

The announcement says on May 13 the 2024 British Book Awards were announced and Murdle by G.T. Karber won the Nonfiction Lifestyle and Illustrated category.

 

Panzer likes to visit the site because there's a daily free murder mystery puzzle to solve.

England's Booker Prize Asks Public To Name Its Trophy - Publishing Perspectives

Today, Panzer was shaken from his kitty bed by clapping and cheering coming from the Catosphere. Jumping in the Panzermobile, our adventuresome kitty boy followed all the hubbub to the Publishing Perspectives site. There he discovered a post about the Booker Prize was causing all the excitement.

It sounds like fun.

According to Porter Anderson's post, the Booker Prize organization is asking the public to submit names for the award trophy. Entrants will be asked to submit a name for consideration. All the names will be narrowed down to six. Those six names will then be voted on by a jury of five. The submitter of the winning entry will receive a prize. The post contains a link to the rules and a submission form.

Panzer says, "You better hurry.The submission deadline is January 27."

Whitaker Takes Home Another Honor - The Rap Sheet

Panzer was cleaning out the glove box in the Panzermobile when he discovered a post from The Rap Sheet site about author Chris Whitaker.

Of Boosts and Blunders - The Rap Sheet

An exemplary human.

Panzer wasn't in the Catosphere a minute today before the Panzermobile was buffeted by clapping and cheering. Following all the raucous noise took our brave kitty to The Rap Sheet site.

According to a post by J. Kingston Pierce, all the celebrating is about the announcement that Robert Randisi, founder of the Private Eye Writers of America, has been chosen for the John Seigenthaler Legends Award by the Killer Tennessee convention organizers.

Panzer says, "Way to go Mr. Randisi! Not bad for a human! (Just for the sake of cat honesty, Mom and I belong to the Private Eye Writers of America.)
