Some schools, libraries and stores are still without power, so they're closed. There's still about 250,000 people without electricity in western Washington.  That's about half what it was yesterday.

No News Today Except An Update

First, Panzer wants everyone to know we made it through the storm.

Last night turned out to be the huge storm as predicted by the local weather people. In western Washington we got hit by what's called a Bomb Cyclone. Wind gusts were fast and hard. Trees got blown down and today there are blocked roads. There are over 600,000 people without electricity. Some businesses, libraries and schools are closed.

None of our trees came down, but we do have branches from them down everywhere. It's a good thing we have a gas powered chainsaw. Our yard is full of stuff blown in from the neighbors around us, but the worst of the winds missed us.

All this is to explain why we're taking another day off reporting.

We should have everything cleaned up tomorrow.
