George R.R. Martin Asked 'House of the Dragon' To Fix 'Game of Thrones' Detail - Cnet

 For those of you who want to know about more than the DOJ v PRH in the publishing world, Panzer found a post from the Cnet site about George R.R. Martin.

 

Glad that's fixed.

According to Jennifer Bisset's post, George R.R. Martin has arranged for the new series 'House of the Dragon' to include a small correction to the 'Game of Thrones' series. In 'Game of Thrones' one of the character's ancestors got left from his heritage line. The new series begins on August 21 on HBO.

HBO Isn't Hiding the Dragons in the Latest House of the Dragon Teaser - Tor.com

 As Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere today, suddenly the Panzermobile was shaken by clapping and cheering. Following all the hullabaloo took our brave kitty boy to the Tor.com site. It didn't take any digging at all to discover all the noise was about HBO's House of the Dragon.

 

Dragons!

The post by Molly Templeton explains the newest teaser is out for House of the Dragon. This is the ten part series which takes place two hundred years before Game of Thrones. The post includes a mini-synopsis of the story, a link to click at the top of the post to view the newest teaser on YouTube, a link to the previous teaser, and the character posters. The new series premiers August 21.

 Today as soon as Panzer entered the Catosphere he heard clapping and cheering outside the Panzermobile. Following all the jocularity took our adventuresome kitty boy to The Guardian site. There he discovered a post about Game of Throne author George R.R. Martin was causing all the hullabaloo.

 

Five years? How old is he now?

According to the post by Sian Cain, George R.R. Martin has signed a contract to work on a Game of Thrones prequel called House of the Dragon. The new project is planned to be shown in 2022. The post has several links, including one to the original one announcing the project. A couple of days ago Panzer told you about the plans for more Game of Thrones connected projects.

HBO Considering Three Additional Game of Thrones Shows - Tor

Today as Panzer was tootling around in the Catosphere, the Panzermobile was suddenly shaken by clapping and cheering outside. Following all the hullabaloo took our fearless kitty pilot to the Tor site. Just a little digging in the posts unearthed one about the Game of Thrones.

 

It's been a long time coming.

According to the post by Andrew Liptak, HBO is looking at developing a new project around George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones world Westeros. The project closest to possible production is one based on the 9 Voyages (of the Sea Snake). The post has several links, including one to the original announcement about the projects at Deadline. The Deadline post has much more information about the project.

Local trio buy Santa Fe Southern Railroad - Sante Fe New Mexican

Panzer was just tootling along minding his own kitty business when he heard clapping and cheering outside the Panzermobile. Following all the jocularity took our inquisitive kitty boy to the Sante Fe New Mexican site. There he discovered a post about the sale of a railroad spur line to three New Mexico residents.

Trains are really noisy.

According to the post by Robert Nott, the Santa Fe Southern Railroad has been purchased (in alphabetic order) by Bill Banowsky, George R.R. Martin (yes, the Game of Thrones author) and Catherine Oppenheimer. The 18 mile long spur line runs from Sante Fe, New Mexico to Lamy, New Mexico. The trio hope to have a holiday train trip, a speak-easy bar and other entertaining train excursions. They also hope to interest movie makers into using the train for location shoots.

Panzer says, "Some humans never outgrow playing with trains."

Strange Days - George R.R. Martin

Today Panzer decided to check in at fantasy author George R.R. Martin's site Not A Blog. If you're a fantasy fan you'll know he's the author behind the TV series Game of Thrones.

It's not allowed in my yard.

According to his post, fantasy author Martin has gone into self-isolation because of the coronavirus (Covid-19). He's doing fine, but is in the high risk group based on his age and preexisting health issues. He's spending his time writing. He has closed his theater and classes, but his bookstore is still open both physically and online. There's even a link to the bookstore included in the post.

Panzer says, "When What's His Name was whining about being bored, I heard Mom tell him, 'We all have to do what we have to do to stay safe.'"

Roku Tops Off Year of Entertainment With Unlocked Premium Content for Second Annual Stream-a-thon - Business Wire

While this doesn't have anything to do with writing or publishing and we don't have a Roku TV or Roku streaming player, Panzer still found this post very interesting.

According to a press release for Roku Inc. at the Business Wire site, Roku will be having the company's second annual free Stream-a-thon this month. The Stream-a-thon will begin December 26 and continue to January 1. Movies and shows from Cinemax, ShowTime and Starz will be available, as well as the first season of HBO's Game of Thrones. You do need to have a Roku TV or a Roku streaming player to access the Stream-a-thon. The press release contains a list of all the shows available.

Only 11 days until Christmas, Mom!

George R.R. Martin: the end fo Game of Thrones on TV was a liberation - The Guardian

A little hint would be appreciated.

Today Panzer decided to make a stop at The Guardian site. With a little digging in the posts our inquisitive kitty found one about George R.R. Martin.

According to the post by Sarah Hughes and Nosheen Iqba, now that the TV series Game of Thrones is finished George R.R. Martin is able to return to work on the fantasy novels the series was based on. Since he's 70 years old, there's been some speculation he may not be able to finish the remaining two novels. Although a lot of fans didn't like the end of the series, Mr. Martin said that will have no impact on how he writes the end of his books. The post is a condensed version of a much longer interview with the author. There's a link included in the post to the full interview.

Do the novel now. I can't wait.

According to the post by Danuta Kean, George R.R. Martin has announced in conjunction with HBO he's helping with the creation of five Game of Thrones spin-offs. These won't be spin-offs in the usual use of the word, but prequels to aspects of the world he created for Game of Thrones. Each prequel is getting a pilot episode. Each pilot is written by a different writer with Mr. Martin's input. Mr. Martin does stress that he's still working on his next novel Winds of Winter. There are several links in the post including one to Mr. Martin's blog post about the spin-offs.

George R.R. Martin's "Wild Cards" in Development at Universal Cable Productions - Variety

Panzer's trip into the Catosphere today took him to the Variety site. There are our happy kitty traveler found some news about one of his favorite fantasy authors George R.R. Martin.

According to the post by Laura Prudom, Universal Cable Productions has bought the rights to George R.R. Martin's "Wild Cards". UCP will develop a new television series based on the "Wild Cards" books and stories. The "Wild Cards" volumes have been running since 1986 and total twenty-three, including one being published this month. There are "Wild Cards" books, stories, comics/graphic novels, and games. The post includes a link to Mr. Martin's original announcement about the arrangement with UCP.

Panzer says, "Just about the time the "Game of Thrones" series ends the "Wild Cards" series will begin."

The Long Game ... of Thrones - George R.R. Martin

Don't wake me until tomorrow.

Panzer spent today's trip into the Catosphere collecting news about George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones. Our busy kitty reporter found three news posts for all Game of Thrones addicts like him.

Panzer's first stop was at George R.R. Martin's Not A Blog site. Yesterday, Monday, August 1, was the 20 year anniversary of the first publication of his Game of Thrones book. His publisher is putting out a new edition of the original Game of Thrones. The new edition will include illustrations.

Panzer's next stop was at The Hollywood Reporter site. There he found a post titled HBO Confirms "Game of Thrones" Will End With Season 8. The post by Lesley Goldberg says that HBO has not released any information except the end of the Game of Thrones series after season 8.

Panzer's final stop was at the GalleyCAT site. A little digging around and he found a post titled HBO's Game of Thrones Coloring Book. According to Dianna Dilworth, HBO has commissioned an adult coloring book containing 35 illustration from the television series.

Panzer made a short trip into the Catosphere today. Our kitty boy found a post at GalleyCAT about one of his favorite TV shows, Game of Thrones.

Maryann Yin's post has an embedded video of the "Battle Between Bastxxds" (Panzer doesn't do bad words here) episode from Game of Thrones. Also included at the end of the post are two links to other Game of Thrones videos.

Okay ... I'm finished for the night.

Panzer was awakened from his late afternoon nap by cheering and clapping coming from the Catosphere. Hopping into the Panzermobile our sleepy kitty followed the buffeting winds of joy to George R.R. Martin's site. Stepping out of his craft he saw what all the elation was about. Mr. Martin posted a chapter from The Winds of Winter titled "Arianne."

Not Dead Yet - George R.R. Martin

I can't keep my eyes open any longer.

Panzer had just laid down for his nighttime sleep when he heard all kinds of racket coming from the radio in the Panzermobile. Heading into the Catosphere it only took a couple of seconds to find the source of all the noise.

Bestselling author George R.R. Martin of Game of Thrones fame announced on his blog that he's not dead yet. Turns out some fans confused him with Sir George Martin (of Beatles fame) who passed away. So, George R.R. Martin wants everyone to know he's alive and well.

George R. R. Martin In Z Nation According To Entertainment Weekly

Don't look. He's scary.

Panzer was just waking up from his late morning nap when he heard some strange shuffling and dragging sounds coming from the Catosphere. Not one to be frightened by unknown noises, our big brave kitty boy headed the Panzermobile toward them.

It took some searching, but finally he found the source of the sounds at the Entertainment Weekly site. James Hibberd says in a post there that Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin is going to do a cameo role on Z Nation.

"What part is he going to play?" you ask.

A Zombie Author, of course.

Panzer says, "The post even has photos of Mr. Martin in Zombie makeup. Yuk!"

Stannis Baratheon Is Alive Says George R. R. Martin

Ugh. My head. My tummy.

Panzer is feeling a little better today, so he made a quick trip over to GalleyCAT. Our poor kitty boy found a post about Game of Thrones. You all know how much our kitty boy loves that show.

According to Maryann Yin, George R. R. Martin says bad guy Stannis Baratheon is alive and well in his books. The TV show may have killed him off, but he still lives in GRRM's book pages. There's a link in the post to GRRM's statement in his Not A Blog site Comments section where he confirms Baratheon is still alive.

Panzer says, "I hate it when the TV/movie people kill off characters without bothering to ask the author."

Happy Cat! Happy Cat!

You all know how much Panzer loves Game of Thrones ... So when our big kitty George R. R. Martin fan heard GalleyCAT had a post with an infographic about him and where he gets his inspiration from, he jumped in the Panzermobile and headed right over.

According to the post by Maryann Yin, Game of Thrones is inspired by real history and the actual people who lived it. Included in the post is a link to a TED-Ed lesson and a link to a previous GalleyCAT post about Mr. Martin and his use of history. Also included is the infographic itself showing the historical figures and actions who inspired Game of Thrones.

Has George R. R. Martin Finished The Winds of Winter?

Did he or didn't he?

Panzer took a quick trip to the Catosphere today. While our kitty explorer was out there, he stopped in at The Independent site. Panzer spent some time digging around there and dug up an interesting post by Daisy Wyatt.

According to Ms. Wyatt, rumors are circulating that George R. R. Martin has finished The Winds of Winter. It's book 6 in The Game of Thrones TV series. Of course as with all rumors, other sites are reporting he hasn't finished it.

But ... it's an interesting story about how the rumor got started.
